It's Never Too Late for Party Pictures

It's been a week-and-a-half since my father's ordination, but I've still got photos to share. Here's the last batch, edited in pieces over time. What a relief to finally get them done!

I think that the pictures mostly speak for themselves. So, without further ado...

Trying to keep three babies happy during a two-hour long Mass was no easy feat (though Abby did amazingly well), so I only got in a few pictures. Compounding my difficulty was the problem of trying to get in-focus pictures with the low shutter speed required to shoot without a flash. Somehow, I still managed to capture the Investiture with the Stole and Dalmatic...

... the assembly of the Diaconate Class of 2013, along with Cardinal Wuerl, and the concelebrating bishops and priests...

... and a quick shot of my father recessing from the altar of the Basilica.

A reception was held afterwards at my parents' home. Though my father was the Guest of Honor, my focus, as usual, was on my own little lovelies (and the all-too-adorable Liam, as well).

These last ones were perhaps my favorites, as were the moments they captured. It was incredibly touching to witness my children and nephew getting to know their great-aunt and first cousin (once-removed).

I still remember the commission with which my father was sent forth:

"Believe what you read. Teach what you believe. Practice what you teach."

May the Lord grant him grace and strength as he does so.
