One of the things I'd like to accomplish with this blog is to bring awareness to Depression, and the ways in which it complicates and magnifies many of the challenges that I face as a stay-at-home parent. I cannot claim to be a resource, but having suffered from Major Depression for most of my life, I hope to be able to share my unique perspective and experience.
One resource I would like to highlight here is a blog called Postpartum Progress. Its focus is on Postpartum depression, but I've found that the advice and information there can be quite beneficial to any parent suffering from depression, for any reason.
Another site that I've found very helpful as a source of support and advice is Honest Mom.
I truthfully do not know how frequently I'll be inspired to write about my personal difficulties and how I manage to overcome them. But, whenever I do, I'll be linking to those posts here.
